How it works
Whether it’s your first blood test or you simply want a more convenient private service, we’re here to make the experience as comfortable and straightforward as possible.
After your blood draw, keep the plaster or dressing in place for around 30–60 minutes. Try not to lift anything heavy with that arm for a few hours, as this can help reduce bruising or swelling.
If you notice mild tenderness or a small bruise, applying a cold compress may help. Avoid rubbing or massaging the area.
If you’ve ordered one of our blood test kits, your results will include a bespoke doctor’s report and will be sent to you securely.
If you’re using your own test kit or another provider, your results will be sent to you by that provider or your clinician.
We label and prepare your sample in line with the instructions provided with your test kit.
If you’re using your own kit, we’ll also explain how it should be packaged and returned to your test provider’s laboratory.
Many people feel nervous about needles or blood tests. If you’re worried, just let us know.
Our experienced phlebotomists will take the time to help you feel comfortable and explain what to expect.
If you’ve fainted before, have difficult veins or would prefer a little extra time, tell us when you book so we can support you during your appointment.
